New toy

I finally managed to decide which new camera I want to buy. And now I have a new toy to keep me occupied.

As I have a small Canon Powershot I don't have problems with the menue, but I still have to read how to reach the best result with every picture.


My new camera is a Canon EOS 500D with two lenses one 18-55 mm and another 55 to 250 mm.


I guess several visits to our local zoo and old houses are in order to get some practice or my next holiday will be quite a challenge.

Essensvokabular

In der Kantine könnte ich mich vor Lachen manchmal in die Ecke schmeißen, besonders wenn auf dem Speisenplan irgendwelche Vokabeln stehen, die man eher in einem guten Restaurant erwartet. Nicht daß das Essen in der Kantine schlecht wäre, nur es paßt halt irgendwie nicht zusammen.

Ganz oben auf der Hitliste steht:

Süppchen - z. B. als Blumenkohlcremesüppchen
Tomatisierte Gemüsesoße - Was das "tomatisiert" bedeuten soll, da bin ich noch nicht dahinter gekommen.

Auch ganz nett:

Häppchen von XYZ - Das deutet schon darauf hin, hoher Preis aber wenig auf dem Teller.

Mal sehen was die Küchenchefs sich das Jahr über noch so einfallen lassen.

It's Winter

About 15 cm of snow. Not as much as they predicted in the forecast, at least in this area. To tell the truth I don't want to be in northern Mecklenburg at the moment...

As the weather (especially the snow) will not last until next weekend, I took my camera and made a brisk walk through the woods. Because a snow capped landscape has a charme of its own. And with the Largo from Antonio Vivaldi's "L'Inverno" - just perfect.
